The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is one of the most important features of any IPTV service. It shows you what's playing now and what's coming up, making it easy to find something to watch. In this guide, we'll show you exactly how to set up your IPTV Boss EPG in all popular IPTV players.
What You'll Need Before Starting
- An active IPTV Boss subscription (get your credentials via WhatsApp)
- Your IPTV Boss EPG URL (provided via WhatsApp - contact support if you don't have it)
- An IPTV player installed on your device (TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, Perfect Player, etc.)
What is IPTV Boss EPG?
The IPTV Boss EPG is our proprietary electronic program guide that provides accurate, up-to-date program information for all 25,000+ channels in our service. Unlike many IPTV providers that offer limited or inaccurate EPG data, our EPG is:
- 7-day guide - See program schedules a full week in advance
- Accurate - Updated regularly to ensure correct information
- Comprehensive - Covers all channels in your subscription
- Fast-loading - Optimized for quick loading in all players
How to Set Up IPTV Boss EPG in Different Players
1. TiviMate (Best for Android TV & Firestick)
Launch TiviMate on your Android TV or Firestick. Go to Settings (gear icon) from the left sidebar.
In Settings, click on "Playlists". Select your IPTV Boss playlist from the list.
Scroll down to "EPG" and click on it. Then click "Add EPG" and enter your IPTV Boss EPG URL. Click "OK" to save.
Go back to Settings → EPG → Update EPG. Wait 1-2 minutes for the guide to fully load. You'll see a progress indicator.
Go back to the main screen and click on the program guide icon (calendar/grid icon). You should now see a full 7-day schedule for all your channels!
2. IPTV Smarters Pro (Best All-Rounder)
Good news! When you log into IPTV Smarters Pro using Xtream Codes API, the IPTV Boss EPG loads automatically. You don't need to manually add anything.
Open IPTV Smarters Pro and select "Login with Xtream Codes API". Enter your Server URL, Username, and Password.
After logging in, the app will automatically download both the channel list and EPG data. This usually takes 1-2 minutes.
Once loaded, click on the "TV Guide" or "EPG" button to see your program schedule. You can also click on any channel to see current and upcoming shows.
3. Perfect Player (Lightweight Option)
Launch Perfect Player and press the menu button on your remote. Go to Settings (gear icon).
In Settings, scroll to "EPG" section. You'll see an option for "EPG URL".
Paste your IPTV Boss EPG URL into the "EPG URL" field. Make sure there are no extra spaces.
Go back to the main screen. Press the menu button and select "Update EPG". Wait for the update to complete.
4. XCIPTV (Modern Alternative)
Open XCIPTV and select "Add User" → "Login with Xtream Codes". Enter your Server URL, Username, and Password.
Like IPTV Smarters, XCIPTV automatically loads the EPG when you login with Xtream Codes. Wait 1-2 minutes for full loading.
Click on the "TV Guide" or "EPG" tab to see your program schedule. You can browse by channel or by time.
Troubleshooting EPG Issues
EPG Not Showing Any Information
- Wait longer: EPG data can take 2-3 minutes to fully load, especially on slower devices or connections
- Check your URL: Make sure you entered the correct IPTV Boss EPG URL with no typos or extra spaces
- Update manually: Go to your app's EPG settings and click "Update EPG" or "Refresh"
- Restart the app: Close and reopen your IPTV player
- Clear cache: In app settings, look for "Clear EPG Cache" or "Clear Data"
EPG Shows Wrong Program Information
- Update EPG: EPG data is typically updated every 24 hours. Manually update to get the latest information
- Time zone issues: Check your device's time zone settings. EPG times are based on your local time zone
- Contact support: If the issue persists, contact us via WhatsApp with specific channel examples
EPG Takes Too Long to Load
- Use a wired connection: Ethernet is faster and more stable than WiFi
- Close other apps: Other apps using bandwidth can slow down EPG loading
- Reduce EPG days: In some apps, you can reduce the number of EPG days to load (e.g., 3 days instead of 7)
- Use a faster device: Older Firesticks and Android boxes may load EPG slower
Benefits of Using IPTV Boss EPG
